The timepieces for sale on the site mainly come from my personal collection. I acquired them with passion and I maintained them with care. They have the common characteristic of being from the 1940s and 1950s for the most part and the similarity is to be found in their beautiful original dials. Every month there will be new additions on the website. All the Chronovantage.com’s watches are sold in working order and running. They have been serviced by a reputable watchmaker, but you have to keep in mind that the precision and accuracy of these timepieces will never reach that of modern watches, quartz or your telephone. Daily deviations even after a recent service can vary by about twenty seconds. After all, they are respectable grandparents! None of our timepieces are guaranteed water resistant even for the so-called waterproof ones which are rather dustproof actually.
Chronovantage.com guarantees the authenticity of the timepieces and their original condition. We do not guarantee the originality of any individual component parts, the so-called consumable parts which have had to be changed over time to ensure the proper functioning of the item. Elements such as wheels, glasses, screws, bracelets and sometimes even hands and crowns may have been replaced, for the last ones, crowns and hands, it would be indicated in the watches descriptions. If you are lucky enough to own a Ferrari 250 GTO and want to have fun on the road, it is obvious that some small so-called consumable parts have been changed for 60 years in order to make this possible. The same goes if you want to daily wear wristwatches that are 80 years old!
The timepieces are mechanically guaranteed for 6 months. This warranty will not apply under the following circumstances : abusive treatment of the watch, misuse, mishandling, modifications, attempted repairs, shock or exposure to water. According to French law, watches can be returned within 14 days in the EEC in order to obtain a full refund. Shipping costs, including insurance are nevertheless the responsibility of the buyer. Each returned watch will be scrupulously examined by the watchmaker before refund. Watches must be returned in strict compliance.
Shipping of the watches is included in the displayed price. The timepieces are shipped from Paris, France. Each shipment is complimentary and fully insured. We mainly use DHL for worldwide shipping. The watches will be sent within 2 business days. The shipping service is express and the delay is generally about 2/3 days or less. An adult signature is required for receipt of all packages for insurance purposes. Watches can also hand delivered in Paris.
Before buying, the interested person should carefully examine the photos taken in high resolution. These are vintage timepieces and therefore traces of use on the cases and patina on the dials are frequent. Read with attention the description of the timepiece. I would be happy to answer questions and I might do videos on some of the watches. Do not hesitate to contact me before purchase. You need to create an account before placing any order on the site Chronovantage.com. In this account, the minimum data are necessary as name, address and emails. To confirm the order, you need to agree with the terms of sales. By now I only accept direct payment on the site by bank transfer. No credit. If you want to use Paypal for Goods, I would charge 5% on the listed price. Product stock availability is listed on the website, in the description of each item.
