Angelus was the first brand to propose a chronograph with a double window for the date. Very few models were produced. The first version was called the Astrodate (see the advertising)on an old Angelus catalog), there was no inscription on the dial. Very few time after, they decided to call them Chrono-datoluxe regarding thei famous Chronodato that were born earlier. The chronograph is in a very good condition, case, dial, hands, movement (unfortunately for the pictures the chrono was not reset at 00 but it does actually).
A rare opportunity to own a Chrono-datoluxe (Astrodate even rarer) in stainless steel, much infrequent than the gold or gold plated versions. A small chronograph but the proportions are excellent, big opening and very compact. At that time small watches were considered as high technology and sought after!
Important :The watch has been overhauled and it’s working fine, all functions, chronograph and date. However and it was the weakness of this model, maybe the reason the production was very limited, the change of the date must be made between 3pm and 8pm. The misuse of the pushers or the date changes won’t be covered by the guarantee
